Are European Countries Open for KSA Travellers?
We have been living with the pandemic for more than the last 1.5 years. With the arrival of the vaccine, people now want to travel all over the world. When it comes to tourism, Europe is the one of the most popular destinations..With the rapid vaccination European tourism is now set for a gradual reopening for vaccinated travellers. However, there are different regulations and requirements for each European country. Here you can find out where can KSA residents travel:
France:
France is categorizing countries in three categories; green, orange and red lists. Saudi Arabia is in France’s orange list. That means fully vaccinated travellers from Saudi Arabia should take a PSR test in the last 72 hours or take an antigen test in the last 48 hours upon their arrival to France. There is no need for quarantine for the vaccinated travellers but unvaccinated ones are required to self-isolate for seven days.
Germany:
Vaccinated travellers are able to enter Germany under existing visa regulations and are required to register at einreiseanmeldung.de prior to departing. You should upload your proof of vaccination against COVID-19. The vaccines should be Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca or Johnson & Johnson. A period of at least 14 days must have elapsed since receiving the last vaccine dose.
Spain:
If you are fully vaccinated the only requirement is a negative COVID-19 test taken at most 72 hours before arrival. Tests accepted are PCR, RT-LAMP, RT-PCR and TMA.
UK:
Saudi Arabia is currently on the UK’s amber list , which means KSA travellers are eligible for entry to the UK. Eligible travellers must first take a COVID test, book and pay for day 2 and 8 COVID travel tests (to be taken after arrival in England), and complete a passenger locator form before departing to the UK. After arrival, travellers must quarantine at home or in their accommodations for 10 days. Travellers will also need to take a COVID-19 test on or before day 2 and on or after day 8. If travellers agree to pay for a private COVID-19 test through the Test to Release scheme , quarantine may be completed early.
Greece:
There is no need for quarantine whether you are vaccinated or not. Vaccinated travelers should provide the proof of vaccination or have a valid negative test. Also, you should fill out Passenger Locator Form no later than11.59 pm of the day before the arrival date.
Malta:
The Mediterranean country opened its beaches and medieval castles starting from June 1 to fully vaccinated travellers at least ten days prior to arrival. Eligible travellers are able to skip quarantine and further testing requirements.
Bosnia & Herzegovina:
Bosnia & Herzegovina is open for all international travellers. However, you should provide a negative PSR test result issued at most 48 hours before arrival. Also, there is no need for quarantine.
Switzerland:
Fully vaccinated travellers from Saudi Arabia are able to travel Switzerland without any quarantine and pre-testing measures. You must have received vaccines authorized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or one of the vaccines included in the WHO’s Emergency Use Listing. These are the Pfizer BioNTech, Sinopharm and Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccines.
Estonia:
Estonia is open for all tourists who have been vaccinated. The country accepts all vaccines produced by the nine worldwide producers and not just the ones authorized by the European Medicines Agency (Pfizer/BioNTech, AstraZeneca and Moderna).
