- There are some ways to pay for the rental car with a Debit Card. First of all, please keep in mind that you need two forms of government-issued identification, available funds in your Debit Card.

- If you are an out of state renter, you may use a Debit Card but you cannot rent a car with a luxury or premium class.

- If you are an in-state renter, you are required to provide original and current utility. It should match with your name and address. Additionally, in-state renters may only rent vans, up to standard sedans, up to intermediate SUVs and pickup trucks with a Debit Card at non-airport locations.

- If you are an international customer, you can rent a car from SIXT with a Debit Card issued in your own country. You can rent a car for all car classes except for Specialty cars. Please remember that you need to provide the return airline ticket/round trip flight itinerary upon pick-up.

ACE

Cash is only accepted upon the return of the vehicle.

Does Europcar accept Debit Cards?

You can use a Maestro Debit Card issued by a U.K bank and for customers in the UK with Europcar. If you have a VISA card, they may also be accepted on some destinations. It may vary by country. If you want to pay with a Debit Card, you must ensure that the Debit Card has sufficient funds for the entire car rental payment including the deposit.

Cash can be used in domestic rentals and for “Mini”, “Economy” class vehicles. Europcar suggests that the renters must always follow the guides for the specific country's terms and conditions.

Are there any age restrictions for Europcar ?

You must be at least 21 years old in most countries if you plan on making a reservation with Europcar.

Since Europcar has offices in many different countries including the US and Europe, terms may vary.

- Europcar has different terms and conditions and policies based on the countries. Since it has offices worldwide, they are not able to provide the same rules for each location. Therefore, it may be risky to pay with a Debit Card if you wish to rent a car from Europcar. It is strictly advised to contact their customer service beforehand if you do not have a credit card.

Dollar

Does Dollar accept Debit Cards?

You can use a Debit Card issued under VISA, MasterCard or Discover logo with Dollar.

If the reservation is made more than 24 hours before the pick-up time or for a car class except Premium, Convertible and Luxury, an authorization amount including the estimated total for the rental charges and an incremental hold of $200 will be required.

If you would like to use a Debit Card for a reservation made less than 24 hours before the pick-up time, you can still use a Debit Card but there may be some restrictions. Details are mentioned below.

Does Dollar accept cash?

Dollar accepts cash only for the deposit. To do this, you must apply for a Cash Deposit Identification Card which can be obtained through Dollar website. For this process, the applicant must be at least 20 years old (18 in some states). We would like to remind you that the processing fees or additional charges may be applied to complete this process.

- Dollar has recently updated the debit car rental policy. In order to rent a car, you are now able to use a Debit Card with most of the locations in the US.

- If you would like to use a Debit Card for a reservation made less than 24 hours before the pick-up time or for a Premium, Convertible, Luxury vehicle, you must provide a valid driving license in the driver’s name and one of the following documents mentioned below:

An alternative credit card, Foreign Country issued passport in the driver's name, United States or Foreign Country Issued Military Identification Card in the driver's name

- Dollar may need the details of your travel plan including the flight tickets.

- A security deposit may be required to rent your vehicle with a Debit Card.

- It is also noted that you can pay for your car rental with a Debit Card during the return. For this process, you must use an alternative credit card during the pick-up to secure the payment. After returning, the security deposit will be released and you will be able to use the Debit Card for the rental payment.
